Heiner Dietze is a physical oceanographer, specialized in ocean and biogeochemical modelling on various scales as well as in modern data mining and machine learning techniques. Ulrike Löptien

Ulrike Löpien is a Mathematician with a PhD in Meteorology. She has long-standing experience in Earth System Modelling and data analysis, including modern data mining techniques (she acted as PI and WP-leader in the pioneering HGF-funded project REDMOD Ulrike enjoys especially interdisciplinary work such as the collaborative project FRAM which explored oceanic oxygen deficits and related mass fish kill incidents in Eckernförde Bight (Baltic Sea).
